So, how is NLA handling the NFA ruling?

For now, nothing changes on our end.

The ruling is a huge step in the right direction, but it left manufacturers and dealers with a lot of unanswered questions.

We're also located in Michigan, which means federal law isn't the only thing we have to consider. State laws still apply regardless of what happens with the NFA.

Until we receive clear guidance on how manufacturers are expected to handle these transfers, NLA will continue shipping suppressors to licensed dealers using our existing process.

If your receiving dealer determines they can forgo the Form 4 and complete your transfer using a 4473 instead, that decision is ultimately theirs.

We're excited about where this is headed.

We're just not going to guess when it comes to your suppressor or our FFL.

Well... this just got interesting.

Gun Owners of America is reporting that the DOJ will NOT appeal the recent NFA ruling.

Meanwhile, Silencer Shop has formally notified the DOJ and ATF that it intends to begin transferring suppressors without Form 4s or NFA registration starting at 12:01 AM CDT tonight.

We aren't changing anything on our end yet. There are still questions surrounding exactly who the injunction covers, how ATF will respond, and how individual states will handle it.

But tonight could be a very interesting night for the NFA.

We're watching closely. 👀
