Getting out of the room matters.
For many kΕ«puna, their environment can become very limited.
Same room.
Same chair.
Same routine.
But even a short walk, a little movement, fresh air, and simple conversation can support both physical and emotional health.
The CDC shares that physical activity can improve sleep, reduce anxiety, and support blood pressure. The National Academies reports that about 1 in 4 adults age 65+ living in the community are socially isolated.
That is why companionship matters.
Often, a walk down the hall, a stop at the vending machine, or a familiar face can help someone feel connected to the world outside their room.
This is part of what KΕ«puna Concierge is about.
Not just errands.
Not just tasks.
Presence. Dignity. Connection. Care.
Our kΕ«puna deserve to feel seen, supported, and not forgotten.
