🌻 Come see us at the Made in Hawaiʻi Festival! 🌻 We're heading to Oʻahu for the 32nd Annual Made in Hawaiʻi Festival, and we'd love for you to stop by our booth! Find us at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center in Honolulu from August 20–23.

Swing by to sample our sunflower and macadamia nut oils, grab a show special on our 3.4 oz, 8.5 oz, and gift sets, and talk story with our team about what makes Kuleana oils different — chemical-free and grown by Hawaiʻi farmers.

A huge mahalo to the State of Hawaiʻi Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT) for sponsoring our booth at this year's festival. DBEDT works to strengthen Hawaiʻi's economy by supporting local businesses, promoting innovation, and helping companies like ours grow and reach new markets across the islands and beyond. Their support means we get to share our story — and our oils — with even more of the Hawaiʻi community.

See you on the show floor! 🌻

NOT your average tuna melt! Chef Eric Morrissette of Maui Brewing Co Kīhei created this Tuna Confit Tostada — fresh ahi slow-poached in Kuleana Hawaiʻi Grown Sunflower Oil, folded into a bold gochujang mayo salad with pepper jack, pickles, jalapeño, and green onion, piled onto a crispy tostada and finished with microgreens.

The technique is confit — low, slow, and completely worth it. Also, easier to do at home than it sounds!

The full recipe — including Chef Eric's pro tips, a watch along as you cook video, and a home-friendly scaled version — is live on our blog now. 🌻

☕🌻 What a morning at Seed to Cup Festival at Maui Tropical Plantation! Kicking off National Coffee Month and celebrating National Sunflower Day couldn’t feel more fitting — because our story with this place runs deep. Right across the street, our field of Maui sunflowers grows. Their restaurant’s used cooking oil comes back to us to be recycled and converted into biofuel. Bottles of our culinary oils sit on their store shelves. And in the kitchen, it’s chefs — past and present — who bring it all full circle.
Mahalo to Chef Taylor Ponte of Aurum for an incredible cooking demo showcasing Kuleana Sunflower oil in Fritters for coffee and a Coffee-Honey Vinaigrette. Mahalo to Chef Matt DeFreitas for featuring a special avocado toast for the day with our Sunflower oil. From Taylor’s early days at the Plantation to Matt leading a kitchen there now, this is what community-grown food looks like.

Huge mahalo to Maui Coffee Association for putting together such a special celebration of local coffee, farming, and ʻāina-to-cup connection. Grateful to be part of a festival that honors the same values we live by — supporting local hands, closing the loop, and keeping it all in the community.

Happy National Coffee Month + National Sunflower Day from all of us at Kuleana Hawaiʻi Oils! 🌻☕

One bottle, 4 Summer wins. 🌻☀️ From the grill to the counter top, our clean Sunflower oil pulls double (triple, quadruple) duty all season long.

1. Brush it on before you grill — higher smoke point means no burnt bitterness.
2. Mix things up with flavorful marinades. Perhaps a sweet and spicy hot honey brush-on?
3. Whisk it into a light vinaigrette — clean, neutral flavor that lets summer produce shine.
4. Finish cold dishes with a drizzle — no stove needed on a hot day. We're talking bruschetta, a chilled pasta salad, fresh feta and herbs, or a basil pesto.

Don't miss our Grilling Month sale! Buy one 8.5 oz bottle of Sunflower Oil, get a second one 50% off with the promo code GRILLING. 🔗 kuleanahawaiioils.com

Mac nut oil in ice cream. Trust us on this one. 🍦🌰 Private chef and Maui local Carol Wallack created this Macadamia Nut Ice Cream & Brittle using Kuleana Hawaiʻi Grown Macadamia Nut Oil — and it's not just a flex move. The oil stays fluid at cold temperatures, giving you a scoop that's silky smooth straight from the freezer, with a subtle nuttiness that makes the whole thing taste unmistakably fresh from Hawaiʻi.

No rock-hard frozen blocks. No bland base. Just rich, creamy, island-grown goodness — topped with homemade mac nut brittle. 🤙

Ever wonder why your food tastes bitter or over-smoked off the grill? It's probably the oil, not you 🔥 Swipe through to see why smoke point is the most overlooked factor in high-heat cooking — and why it matters for every sear, skewer, and flip this Summer.

Kuleana Sunflower Oil is expeller-pressed with a high smoke point, so it stays stable at real grill temps instead of breaking down. 🌻
