Here we go my dudes.
From this Third Friday until June 21st, the next third Friday, we are on our final stages of this journey.
We’ve collected so many rad memories and gear over the years and we can’t take it with us. So we are going to raffle it off to the community.

Been getting a few questions about the future of Stoke Clinics.
I have loved putting these on for the past 10 years. It’s been truly amazing. I personally would love to continue this event, but here is the deal. Burning Spider, , or any one person for that matter can not be the only thing making these happen. We have proudly carried the weight, and it has been an honor showing people how powerful they really are.
With the closing of the shop, we are not able to carry the weight any longer. May 12th, this Sunday will be the final Stoke Clinic as a shop sponsored event. As such, we will be giving away our helmets and pads to all attendees of this final clinic. Many of the shops quiver of set ups can be purchased at the clinic, or at the shop after this Clinic and before we close all the way.
I hope people will still gather at Gooseneck Corner on the Second Sunday of the month to help and usher in the next round of KC riders, but for us, we must pass the torch.

This weekend really kicks it off for our community. This year we have a Swap meet Friday (19th), where we encourage everyone who has old gear lying around to come and buy, sell, trade right in front of the shop.

Saturday (20) is Downhill Dilemma which is a downhill race, meets skate tour, meets sick session with the homies all rolled into one. Definitely geared more towards our newer go fast riders Downhill Dilemma consists of 5 hills that were voted on by the members of our Stoked Community on Discord.
Sunday (21) Green Skate KC 2024, this marks our 10th year throwing a Green Skate. Cruise with is from the shop, to KAW point, then to RiveMarket, down past the Nelson, through the Plaza. Riders wear Green shirts and go and a casual cruise around the city to raise awareness of using skateboards and longboards as a green sustainable source of transportation.

Here it is, here we go, Stoke Clinic is this Sunday!!
All skill levels will learn something, all styles of people are welcome, if you are not ready to give the most high fives you’ve ever given or received then maybe you should stay home.

We do this for the community to help teach people the basic skills they will need to get started and then to advance as far as you want to take it. We want to unleash an army of rippers onto the city streets and trails. The Stoked Community is growing, good vibes are flowing , and we want to skate with you!!

If not for the support of our community and the love from the companies in the industry making sure we’ve got the best gear to teach on and for people to experience the potential for flow this would not be possible.
for the raw, boots on the ground, would not go off if not for these dudes hauling gear, teaching, and general all background needs taken care if. The backbone of everything we do.
.la are the companies that have thrown in product and gear for us to show you guys, let you play with, let you experience why these are not only the leading edge in their fields, but how much they actually give a crap about the community that is using them and experiencing the world with them.

There are just too many dang hills in the Kansas City area. So when it came time for this year’s opening fun we left it to the Burning Spider Stoked Community on Discord for o decide.
The Downhill Dilemma is one part best hills in the city, another part get newer riders on the hills, and all parts fun. We’ve got heats and brackets for riders who want to race, and we’ve got heats for newer riders just starting into downhill.
This tour of our finest hills, will take riders from 30mph to 45mph, all grip runs.

Mega shout out to crew rider and longtime local legend !
We hit a point in the shop’s ability where we needed to get creative on where we put some sweet skate goods. For months we’ve been going over plans and next steps.
Yesterday was a lesson in faith, and a beacon of hope. This skate shop gig is nuts. I love it, but at the moment the whole industry is going through some major shifts. Some companies are calling it quits, some companies are downsizing. Hard numbers, the black and white, say all sorts of things my heart refuses to listen to.
Then you have yesterday, I dug into our penny banks to buy TP, Paper towels, and a couple pieces of wood to put up the pad wall that’s been waiting. For what ever reason this was the day. I get back, and almost instantly Wingo shows up with the new Bushing pyramid we designed to hold new fingerboard bushings, along with some other little bushings we’ve been wanting to get in. Wingo stayed until everything was put back together.
So now we have these new spaces to fill up, now when the next chance to stock up we will have room for it.
So much is going on. Thank you for your support l, your belief, your time and sessions. I will probably be drug out of here kicking and screaming before I can quit, but days like yesterday sure do remind me we aren’t in it alone. We’ve got the best community, and I am so stoked and grateful for it.
