Fifteen years ago, Kristi and I started making jewelry from vintage silverware and typewriter keys. We believed in upcycling, in meaning, and that jewelry should tell a story.
Then in January 2014, we pitched our idea at One Million Cups. That’s where we met Mike Meyer, the Chairman of Band of Angels. He asked us a simple question: can you use broken instruments to make jewelry? We said yes that summer, and everything changed.
For the past 11 years, we’ve been turning unplayable instruments into wearable art. We’ve shipped to 15 countries, donated over 360 pieces and tens of thousands of dollars to Band of Angels , helping kids to receive the gift of music. Kristi left the business in 2022 but the mission we built together continues stronger than ever.
This week, I’m celebrating 15 years of this journey. And I want to celebrate you, because you made it possible.
