Occasionally I get to go hunt logs at various places. A Quick look doesn’t usually yield much. The payoff comes when I take a machine and saw and spend a couple hours hunting… today was one such day. An interesting thought about trees… each line on the end of this piece of hemlock represents a year of growth. This piece of is 2 3/8” wide and has over 45 growth rings showing! This 2” piece of wood is older than me by 6 years…
