Things never slow down here at Utopia. In addition to the sale, Anime Day, and Bliss Publishing visting on Saturday. Utopia Toys and Models along with Snake Eyes Comics will be presnting Godzilla vs Gigan at Central Cinema this weekend. It will show Saturday night @ 6:30 PM and Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM. So come on down to Central Cinema to see this Godzilla classic.

Our Summer of Godzilla series continues as Snake Eyes Comics and Utopia Toys & Models present this 1972 battle royale, the final film to feature Godzilla “suit-actor” Haruo Nakajima in the role he’d been playing since the 1954 original.

GODZILLA VS GIGAN (1972) | An alien invasion prompts a tag-team battle between Godzilla and Anguirus, the planet protectors, and King Ghidorah and the new monster Gigan, a cyborg with scythe-like claws, an abdominal buzz saw, winglike back fins, and pincerlike mandibles. In this action-packed film, which veers from the sublime to the ridiculous, the cockroachlike aliens—disguised as humans—use Gigan and King Ghidorah as weapons of conquest in their plot to take over a contaminated Earth.

The store will be busy again this weekend. We'll have a special guest. Brad Molchan from Resolute Bliss Publishing will at the store to sign and talk about all the great things they have going on. We'll also be setup at Knoxville AnimeDay at the Holiday Inn Cedar Bluff. So you can go the show then pop over to Utopia to meet Brad and the gang. To celebrate the start of summer and the staff's anticipation for spooky season, we will be kicking off a week-long Summerween sale THIS SATURDAY with 20% off the entire store, new and extended store hours (11:00-8:00 Tuesday through Saturday until August 1), and a special in-store appearance by our friend !
