Looking for a fun and crazy read? Check out The Pro by Garth Ennis and Amanda Conner. The story revolves around a bet that any human will do the right thing if given super powers. Which human? How about a pr******te.

It is a one shot by Image comics from 2002 that has seen 7 printings as well as hardback and tpb versions.

I'm currently on a cruise ship between St Thomas and Sint Martin.. but this spec book is one of my safe bets and had to share. First Squirrel Girl is a great book with a fun character. It's still fairly cheap so I'd pick it up soon. She could become a Harley Quinn of the Marvel Universe (fun, crazy, and entertaining).

While Dell comics aren't loved like they should be (sorry! I love me the Dells!). This book is very rare and it carries a historical significance. Lobo is the first black "super hero", probably more of an action star. It's slowly rising in price and if you happen to come across one, you should grab it. You may never see another copy again.

One of my favorite specs are video game comics. There's been a huge boom for any Super Mario/Nintendo materials. If you don't believe me, check out the price of the first Nintendo Power (it's gotten crazy expensive!). Yet one of the rarest video game comics comes from the Twisted Metal 2 Playstation game. Yes, you heard that correctly. Twisted Metal had a comic book. It was given as prize in a competition that Sony held. Originally there were 100 copies produced, but it's unknown if all 100 were ever released. Rumors are that some of 100 were destroyed after the contest ended. So if you happen to ever run across it, get it. You won't be disappointed and you'll probably never come across another copy again!

Are newsstand editions worth it? If it's any type of "key" book from the 1990's it's probably worth it. Now if it's from the 2000s to 2010, yes, get the newsstand if you can. They get very rare at that point. In the neighborhood of 1 in 100 to 1 in 1000. And lastly, if it's an ASM get it. Doesn't matter if it's a key or not. It's worth it!

One to watch for... this one flys under the rader, but I think it's one of the better zombie homage covers. Plus it doesn't have as high of a print run compared to many of its zombie counterparts.

So if you've been priced out of Bloodstone 1 (Elsa's first appearance) a good substitute looks to be Nextwave: Agents of Hate 1. The issue redefines her and gives her the red/orange hair that she currently sports. I still think she's a good bet to show up in the MCU one day soon.

What type of comic book hunter are you? Do you go to ebay and pick out whatever you need or want? Or do you what see it in person before you buy it?

I've always enjoyed the thrill of the hunt. It's really exciting to find that one missing comic you need for a run in a dollar box (or back issue bin). It really gives a great sense of accomplishment. But don't get me wrong, I do sometime search out the internet for some, because I'd hate to be the older lady from Titanic saying "it's been 86 years and I finally found it." Happy hunting everyone!
