We have, and it’s not easy. Some of you would love to go a bit greener, but don't know what to do first. With the overwhelming amount of "green" info out there, how do you know what’s real? Sometimes it’s hard to find someone locally with the right ‘green’ certification. Green Village Green was created to collect in one place all aspects of green building, and sustainable living, particularly info
rmation, so you can find what you need, and easily link to businesses in your area, or nationwide. We also think it is important to promote the folk, local and national, who provide these vital green products and services - and you can rate them:
includes
* Green builders, architects, landscape architects, contractors
* Nurseries, rainwater harvesting, composting, sustainable irrigation, farmers and farmers' markets, eco-tourism
* Manufacturers and suppliers of sustainable materials and technology, appliances, products
* Periodicals, books, articles about sustainability and the environment
* Educational establishments, career training, seminars, events
* Organizations, sustainable communities
* Anything that might be needed to make a living environment more sustainable, healthier for us and our planet. We have 'green products that work' in the Green Village Green Shop that you'll love, with lots of background info. (We use most of them.) Get interesting tips and ideas with our e-newsletter, The Green Village Green Gazette, which we send out no more than every couple of weeks, and which we'd love you to subscribe to. Please let us know what you'd like us to investigate. And follow the Green Village Green Blog where nothing green is off limits. And finally ask and answer questions at the Green Village Green Pub, our online forum (much too formal a word). Soon everyone can access the whole site, but if you want to add your business to the Directory, post your articles, rate a service or product, or comment on the Pub, you will join our community and become a Green Villager. Right now Green Village Green is free for everyone, but not for much longer. Soon businesses will be charged to join the Directory, so get in quick.
