Happy father's day to the Dads

When I became a father, I didn't have a roadmap. I didn't grow up with the kind of dad I could look to for guidance, so a lot of the time I was learning as I went. I've made mistakes along the way—more than I care to admit—but I've always tried to do the best I could with what I knew at the time.

Sometimes I find myself asking God why I have to be the one who sees all the struggles, heartbreaks, and challenges my kids go through. As parents, we want to fix everything, protect them from pain, and make their path easier than ours was. But that's not always how life works.

Then I realize that maybe that's part of being a parent. Being there when they fall. Helping them get back up. Loving them through their mistakes and celebrating their victories. Showing up every day, even when it's hard.

Being a dad isn't about being perfect. It's about being present. It's about breaking cycles, learning from your own past, and trying to give your kids something better than what you had.
To all the dads out there who are figuring it out as they go, who wonder if they're doing enough, and who carry the weight of their children's struggles in their hearts—you aren't alone.

At the end of the day, being called "Dad" is still one of the greatest blessings God has ever given me. ❤️💙
