Did you know that thrift shoppers are more attractive, more intelligent, and just plain nicer than most people on the planet? Well, it’s true according to a study I just completed over the past three months volunteering in the Vintage La Conner Non-Profit Thrift Shop. And you, gentle reader, are no doubt one of those special people! So come mingle with other equally blessed folks this weekend (and every weekend) Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM at 301 Marvelous Morris St. in La Conner. And you too will see why we like to say “Get a thrill from a thrift!” Ohhh and the sale continues with 50% off virtually everything in the women’s apparel area!! Whaaa??! The store looks fabulous this week! There are so many treasures that were donated and displayed with care and creativity. HALF OFF SALE for men ties, belts, hats, shoes, boots, socks, all pet items, hardware, electronic items, office items, sporting goods, anything to the right at the top of the stairs.

Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name. You know the song; you know the feeling. Here at Vintage La Conner Non-Profit Thrift Shop (301 Morris St.) we've raised the bar for that welcoming feeling of community all while turning the fruits of your purchases into resources for those in need. Check out our main display celebrating the art of the home bar, dust off your favorite cocktail/mocktail recipes and fix a date with your friends. Make a splash with your outfit while you're at it. Our racks are stocked with everything bold, bright and beautiful. "I'm there!", you say. "When?", you ask. We have the longest Happy Hour in town--Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11-5. See you then friends!

Isn’t it amazingly convenient that July 4th falls on a Saturday on the year of our 250th Independence Day celebration?! It’s almost like those clever forefathers planned it or something. And it’s also perfect timing to celebrate with us in La Conner as the shops and restaurants are brimming with summer fun including Vintage La Conner Non-Profit Thrift Shop, 301 Marvelous Morris St open Fri-Sat-Sun 11:00am-5pm with donations welcome Mondays 1:00-6:00pm. Our donors knocked our socks off this week and our cozy shop is bursting with treasures you never imagined you couldn’t live without! Come see us before (and/or after) the parade that starts at Noon and stay for the Hometown Celebration festivities and concert starting at 5:00pm at the marina (more on that later) with fireworks at dusk. Soooo . . . set your scroll finger to stun and let’s get clicking —

Step inside and discover a thrift store where imagination, talent, and community come together. Our dedicated volunteers do far more than sort and display donations—they transform the shop into a welcoming and inspiring place filled with beautiful treasures and creative touches.

We are especially proud of one of our talented members, Dorothy Bird, whose artwork is currently featured at the Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fiber Museum. “At Play in the Land of Color” exhibits until Sept. 13. Check this out!

The Weekly Gathering of Interesting Objects Happens this Weekend at the Vintage La Conner Non-Profit Thrift Shop!

Somewhere in the shop, a teacup is hoping for tea again. A chair would like to sit in someone’s house and relax. Several books are patiently waiting to be read. A necklace would love a night out. And a few mystery items are simply hoping someone finds them interesting enough to buy.
