Beginner's Quilting Classes
Classes start August 29,2025

Have you ever thought, I would love to learn how to quilt? Then this class is for you! I’m going to walk you through step by step as we create a Sampler Table Runner. From start to finish we will learn about fabric, cutting, piecing, pressing and even how to quilt and bind it. When we complete this 5-PART CLASS you will know the basics of quilting plus lots of tips and tricks to be ready to start on your next quilting project.

Come join me as we explore the world of quilting! Classes will be hosted by Allbrands in Lafayette on Fridays, starting August 29, 2025- Septebmer 26,2025 from 10:30-3. Supply sheet given at registration. This 5-part class, including pattern and batting, is $175 plus supplies (such as fabric and basic quilting notions). Mariner’s Compass Strip Pieced
August 8, 2025

Love the look of a Mariner’s Compass but don’t want to paper piece or use templates?? Then get ready to do some stripping, Strip piecing that is!

This 16 point Mariner’s Compass block can be made either as a Skinny or Fat Mariner’s Compass depending on which unique ruler you chose. The beauty of the ruler is you can make blocks in 16 different sizes with several variations. Once you get the basics that will be taught in this class, you can unleash your imagination and create dazzling blocks and quilts.

In this class we will be making the basic Mariner’s Compass block as shown in the photos. We will even go over the different ways to finish the blocks. When you sign up for the class you will get a handout with the little bit of prep work to complete before class so we get our bearings straight and sail to a perfect finish!

This class will be Thursday August 8, 2025. Class will be hosted at Allbrands in Lafayette from 10:30-3:00pm. The class is $35 for the day plus supplies. The Robin Ruth Mariner’s compass Ruler and Book combo is required for this class and I have a few available for purchase if you need one.
