Reliqra launched July 4. Next weekend, it comes to a coin-show table for the first time.

I’ll be at the Lafayette Coin Show demonstrating the full system I built for collectors and dealers—capture a coin, price it, manage it, and sell it while keeping everything connected.

And I won’t just be giving demos. I’ll be using Reliqra to run my own Swamp Treasure table, with coins for sale.

Built in Lafayette. First shown in Lafayette. Less than a mile from home.

📍 Cajundome Convention Center
🗓 Friday, Sep 11 · 10am–6pm
🗓 Saturday, Sep 12 · 9am–4pm

Take a close look at this 1937-D Buffalo Nickel. Notice anything unusual about the buffalo's legs?

This iconic coin is famous for the '3-legged' variety, where the buffalo's right front leg appears to be missing or severely diminished. It's one of the most recognizable and sought-after error varieties in US coinage, and the story behind it is just as fascinating as the coin itself.

The striking error is believed to have occurred when a Mint employee at the Denver Mint excessively polished a damaged die to remove marks. In the process of trying to fix one problem, they inadvertently ground away part of the design—specifically, that critical front leg. What started as a routine maintenance mishap became a numismatic legend.

This is a testament to the unexpected quirks that can arise in the minting process. Mint errors have always captured collector imaginations because they represent a moment frozen in time: a human decision, a tool in motion, and a tiny piece of metal that tells the story of how coins are actually made. The 1937-D 3-legged Buffalo Nickel transforms what could be dismissed as a 'flaw' into a genuine numismatic treasure.

If you're building an error collection or hunting for iconic varieties, this one deserves a spot. Have you ever found an error coin in circulation, or is the 3-legged Buffalo on your wish list?

First time with a table at a coin show, and it's right here in Lafayette — less than a mile from my house, which is where I spent the last two years building Reliqra.

Lafayette Coin Show — September 11–12 Cajundome Convention Center · Fri 10–6, Sat 9–4 · Free admission and free parking

The feature that made the timing right: invoicing. Build the invoice from inventory, hand the buyer a QR code or email them a link, they pay on their own phone. I never touch a card. Payment clears, the item marks sold, delists itself from eBay and Whatnot, and I'm notified before the coin changes hands.

Behind that, weeks of backlog work — two agents running full time, one auditing every open code-review thread across nine repos against the code as it stands today, one executing the fixes and deploys. No bulk-closing to move a number.

I'm going to be running my own table on it. That's the test that counts.

Come say hello. Swamp Treasure will have coins for sale at the table too.

One coin, pushed to eBay, Whatnot or Facebook Shop from a single screen — with the Greysheet® value, melt and P&L already attached. The double-entry between cataloging and selling is where most of a shop's time quietly goes.

Listing a coin twice — once in your records, once on eBay — is how the two stop matching. We create, revise and end our eBay listings from inside the item record itself, so the shelf and the marketplace never drift apart.

The 1918/7-D Buffalo Nickel tells a story that goes far beyond a simple minting error—it's a snapshot of American industrial pressure during World War I.

Imagine the Denver Mint in 1918. The nation was fighting on two fronts, demand for coinage was relentless, and the mint was working around the clock. Fresh dies for 1918 weren't ready fast enough, so the mint made a decision: they would overpunch the leftover 1917 dies and keep the presses running. There was no time to wait for perfection.

The result is one of the most visually striking overdates in all of U.S. numismatics. Look at the date, and you'll see a ghostly '7' visible beneath the '8'—a permanent record of that wartime improvisation. It's unmistakable, dramatic, and historically loaded.

Today, only 5,000 to 7,000 examples of this coin are believed to exist. That scarcity, combined with the historical weight, has pushed valuations to extraordinary levels. Even mid-grade specimens regularly sell for five figures, and AU examples? You're looking at $30,000 and up.

But here's what makes the 1918/7-D truly special: it wasn't a careless blunder. It was a calculated, necessary decision made under impossible circumstances. This coin represents a moment when the machinery of American commerce couldn't pause, even to fix the tooling. It's numismatic evidence of wartime urgency.

For Buffalo nickel collectors building a complete date set, or for variety hunters chasing the rarest and most historically meaningful pieces, the 1918/7-D is the holy grail. It proves that the most valuable coins aren't always born from precision—sometimes they're born from necessity.
