For more than ten years, every facial I gave was built on oxygen. It was my signature treatment, the one clients booked months out, and I watched it work on hundreds of faces.

Then my spa closed, and for the first time in a decade I didn't have a way to give my own skin what I'd been giving everyone else's.

I finally found the at-home version. Two ingredients: oxygen and water. That's the whole label.

I wrote about it — what my treatment room taught me, what this can honestly do for skin over 50 (and skin changing fast on a GLP-1), and what it can't. No miracle claims. Just what I saw.

I spent 25 years with my hands on people's faces.

Chronic illness ended that. It took me longer than I'd like to admit to stop grieving it.

Here's what I didn't expect: the questions never stopped. They just changed.

I'm on a GLP-1. So are a lot of you — more of you than say so out loud. And nobody warned us what it does to a face. The hollowing. Skin that stops snapping back the way it used to. Dryness that no amount of moisturizer touches. Hair in the shower.

I've watched all of it happen to my own face. And for the first time in a long while, the 25 years is useful again — because I know which part of it is fixable, which part isn't, and which part you're being sold nonsense about.

So I'm doing something I should have done a year ago.

I'm writing skin plans. You send me a form and three photos, I read them properly, and within three days you get four pages: what's actually happening, what to use right now while you're still losing, what to add once you're at goal, and — honestly — what skincare can't fix at all.

$79. The first five are $49, because I want five people to tell me what's missing.

I'm still licensed. That part didn't go anywhere.

Comment or message me and I'll send you the link.

Every year around this time I get the same message, worded almost identically.

"Nothing changed. I'm using the same things I used all summer. So why does my skin suddenly look terrible?"

Here's what's happening, and it's not you.

Humidity drops in early autumn. All summer your skin was quietly pulling moisture out of the air — and a lightweight routine that was exactly right in July becomes badly under-powered by October. That's the tightness after washing. That's the foundation clinging to flaky patches. That's the neck that suddenly feels like paper.

And there's a second thing. The sun damage you picked up over three months is only surfacing now. Pigment takes weeks to migrate up and become visible, which is why the spots seem to appear all at once in September even though nothing new happened.

So you didn't age three years over Labor Day weekend. Your routine is simply about to be wrong for the weather.

After 25 years of doing this, I make the same eight swaps every autumn. Not a new routine — eight changes, most of which you feel within a week. I wrote all of them down, in the order I'd actually do them, with what each one costs.

One warning while you're deciding: search "post-summer skin damage" and you'll find page after page of clinics selling lasers, none of them listing a price. Some of those treatments are genuinely excellent. Most of what shows up in September isn't that — it's a barrier that can't keep up with the air, and it responds to a $22 cream.

Can I tell you the most common skin problem I saw in 25 years as an esthetician? 💙

It wasn't acne. It wasn't aging. It was damaged skin barriers — and almost nobody knew that's what was happening to them.

If your skin suddenly stings when you put products on... if it's tight after washing, flaky in weird patches, red for no reason, and reacting to EVERYTHING — your skin isn't broken. It's overworked. And the fix is probably the opposite of what you think.

It's not another product. It's doing less, better.

I wrote out the exact simple repair routine I gave my clients for years — how to know if your barrier is damaged, the 3 steps that heal it, and (just as important) what to STOP doing while it recovers.

Read it below:

If your skin has been "acting up" lately and nothing helps — this one's probably for you. And if you know someone who's been fighting their skin all summer, send this their way. 💙

Tight, stinging, flaky, suddenly reactive? Your skin isn’t broken — it’s asking you to stop. Here’s the honest reset, from a 25-year…

If your skin is dry, red, or breaking out and nothing seems to fix it… it might not be what you think.

So often, the real culprit is a damaged skin barrier — and most people are accidentally making it worse. Here's how to tell, and how to repair it.

I explain the whole thing in my free guide 👇

"What should MY routine be?"

It's the question I got most in 25 years — and the answer depends on your skin. Dry, oily, combination, or sensitive, I laid out exactly where to start for each one.

Is your skin suddenly "freaking out" — tight after washing, stinging when you apply products, dry no matter how much you moisturize? 💛

After 25 years as an esthetician, I can tell you that so often, the culprit is one thing: a damaged skin barrier. It's the big skincare buzzword of 2026, and for once the hype is pointing at something real.

The good news? It's very fixable, and the fix is refreshingly simple (it's actually about doing LESS). I wrote an honest guide to the signs your barrier is struggling — and exactly how to repair it 👇

The one thing I never skip — even on my hardest days — is SPF.

Here's the honest truth: you can't fade dark spots while the sun keeps making new ones. It's like bailing water out of a boat with a hole in it. 🛟

If summer spots are frustrating you, I broke down exactly what works — the 5 ingredients that actually fade them, a simple routine, and the mistakes that keep them around — right here 👉
