One year ago, Top Shelf Bookstore was just a dream.
It started with countless conversations about what our community deserved-- a place where readers could discover their next favorite book, meet fellow book lovers, and feel like they belonged. That dream became a little pop-up bookshop, then a mobile bookstore that now travels all over our community, bringing stories wherever we go.
Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come. But the truth is… this story has never just been ours.
It’s yours, too.
To the readers who stop by every market, even if it’s just to say hello. To our Mood Readers Anonymous book club members who have helped build something so welcoming. To every customer who has trusted us with their next read. And to those we haven’t had the chance to meet yet, you are the reason we keep going! 🫶🏼
You’ve reminded us that bookstores are about so much more than books. They’re about community, connection, friendship, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.
Our journey isn’t over (not even close!).
In fact, it feels like we’re just getting started. We have big dreams for what Top Shelf Bookstore can become, and we can’t wait to build something even bigger, even better, and even more magical with this community and for this community.
