Our Finger Puppet Board Books are back, and they’re small but mighty in the fun department! Each sturdy little book has a built-in finger puppet that brings the story to life through reading, wiggling, peekaboo and plenty of made-up adventures.

They’re wonderful for helping babies and toddlers explore:

You know what’s not fun?

Throwing a super-bouncy ball, watching it take one wild bounce and realizing you may never see it again. 😄

Enter the Waboba Bounceback Ball!

It has all the crazy bounce kids love about Waboba’s Moon Ball—but this one is attached to an elastic cord and adjustable wristband.

Simply slip the band around your wrist, bounce the ball and catch it when it comes back. Kids can practice catching, improve hand-eye coordination, invent tricks or just bounce, bounce, bounce until some of those extra wiggles are gone.

🧩 NEW! Boardwalk Puzzles

Puzzle people, I think you’re going to love these—and yes, I have already checked for that strange, dirty-feeling puzzle dust. There isn’t any. If you know, you know. 😄

Boardwalk Puzzles is a new company for Whimzy, and the artwork is absolutely beautiful. Their puzzles are available in 210, 500 and 1,000 pieces, so it’s much easier to find one that fits the person, the time and the kind of challenge you’re looking for.

We receive so many requests for adult puzzles with a smaller piece count, which is why I was especially excited to find the 210-piece options. They feature the same detailed artwork you’d expect from a larger puzzle, but the fewer, larger pieces make them easier to handle and more manageable to finish.

They’re a wonderful option for grandparents, newer puzzlers, families who want to work together or anyone who loves completing a puzzle but doesn’t necessarily want it taking over the dining room table for the next three weeks. 🤣

And yes, they have a Minneapolis puzzle.

💚 NEW! Stacked Sweetly Bracelet Kits 💜

If you’re looking for a creative, screen-free activity that doesn’t require you to gather a cartful of supplies, I think you’re going to love these!

Stacked Sweetly bracelet-making kits include precut elastic, adorable charms and a wonderful assortment of beads—everything kids need to sit down and start creating. They’re perfect for quiet afternoons, sleepovers, rainy days, trips to Grandma’s house or anytime someone announces, “I’m bored.” 😄

And here’s something extra fun: Stacked Sweetly is located right here in Waconia! I met Noelle at the ASTRA show and even made my own Whimzy bracelet while I was there.

We’ll have small kits that make darling little gifts and stocking stuffers—yes, I said it already!—along with larger kits containing enough supplies to create several bracelets. And for anyone who loves the look but not the beading, Noelle also makes fully assembled bracelet stacks that are cute as can be.

🚨 NeeDoh Drop 🚨

Toy stores all across the country (including us!) have experienced huge crowds, long lines, and unfortunately even some not-so-great behavior over these squishy little stress balls. Because of that, we’ve put some special rules in place for Saturday’s (8.15.26) NeeDoh Drop to help keep things fair, organized, safe, and FUN for everyone.

🎟️ No ticket = no NeeDoh purchase
🛍️ Limit 2 NeeDohs per ticket
🙌 All purchases will be filled by our team behind the counter

AND ... don’t feel like you need to stay after you get your ticket (unless, of course, you want shop for other fun finds 😉). Go grab some coffee or a fun lunch. Be back by 2. Tom or I will be calling #’s to come into the store.

We know the excitement is real — trust us, we feel it too! 😃 Please remember that kindness, patience, and following the process will help make this a fun experience for everyone involved.

🐾 Happy Gotcha Day to my sweet Jack! 💚💜

The day Jack came into my life, I knew he was special. What I didn’t know was that he would eventually become such a loved part of Whimzy, too.
He takes his role as official shop dog very seriously. He greets his favorite Whimzonians, keeps me company, accepts all available scratches and knows exactly where the treats are kept. His work ethic gets a little questionable when naps are involved, but we let that slide. 🤣

Jack has brought so much love, laughter and sweetness into our life and into the store!

Meet our NEW Game of the Week: Logic Lane from Smart Games!

Designed for little puzzlers ages 3–7, Logic Lane is a colorful, single-player wooden puzzle game with six house-shaped building blocks and 48 challenges that become more difficult as kids play.

Here’s how it works: Choose a challenge, look closely at the house pictured, and stack the wooden blocks to recreate it. The first puzzles provide plenty of clues using colors, shapes, and positions. As the challenges progress, kids will need to pay closer attention to the windows, chimneys, holes, and how the pieces fit together.

The puzzle is solved when the front of their little house matches the picture in the challenge booklet. And if it takes a few tries? That’s part of the fun—and where some of the best problem-solving happens!

Logic Lane is a wonderful choice for quiet time, independent play, rainy afternoons, travel, or anytime you need a purposeful activity for busy little hands and growing brains.
