I talked to Efrain in line as soon as I got there. He wanted another EZ U-Rig. Luckily I had some, I haven't been selling many lately or keeping up with my stocks.

Ian and Cian Pullen fished with me today at Pyramid Lake, CA. The fishing was surprising. Bigger fish hit right away this morning up high, usually the little ones hit there first thing.
Soon after that we were catching an assortment of striper from 1 to 4½ pounds from all different depths.
Next thing we knew, the American Shad moved up higher and we set up a couple poles to catch shad, then we were catching shad and striper. Once Ian caught one of each on the same pole.
I could go on and on but the short story is we caught over 30 striper and about 30 American Shad. It was a busy morning. We had a few doubles and often got another bite before we even got to toss the last fish back.
We all had a blast!
We only kept 6 striper that wouldn't go back down.
Thanks for fishing with me guys!

This bite is likely to get better. If you'd like to give it a try, give me a call.

Steve Lenker fished Pyramid Lake, CA with me today.
We met in line at 6:30am or 6:40 actual, I was running a little late.
We saw some scattered blowups on the way out and tried topwater for a little bit but didn't have any takers.
We set up on the bait spot after graphing around a little.
The fish down deeper weren't biting at first but some smaller striper were biting at about 40 foot. Steve got a few of those then the bigger models started cooperating.
The bite was pretty good. It wasn't fast but it was steady.
After Steve caught 10 striper he asked about catfish. I don't really mess with about catfish much but I took him to a spot where I get some when I'm striper fishing. He caught 5 bullheads with one striper mixed in. I don't know where the channel cats were today, I usually get some of them there, but not today.
We had a good day. Steve's a good fisherman, he picked up not scaring the light bites off really quick.
Thanks for fishing with me today Steve!

Give me a call if you would like to book a trip and get in on this striper bite.

Allen Hughes and Art Boyamian fished with me today at Pyramid Lake, CA. We met at the ramp at 9am.
It was a pretty good day. We had to work with the fish and set our baits at the depths where we saw fish on the finder but they bit every once in a while. We all got fish pretty early and caught more throughout the day.
We had a good time horsing around and goofing off and we kept catching fish all day.
We caught 23 striper today. I call that good fishing.
No catfish today, I don't know where they were, we've been catching them in that same spot.
It was a good day. Thanks for fishing with me guys!

Give me a call if you would like to book a trip and give these nice striper a try.

Art Boyamian and Allen Hughes fished Pyramid Lake, CA with me yesterday.
We met at the ramp at 9am and went straight out and set up on a bait spot.
It wasn't long before Allen had a couple fish in the boat. Then after a bit I got one then Art joined in too.
We had a good time horsing around and joking all while we slowly put a few fish in the boat.
The bite was better than it was on Friday but the fish finders showed fewer fish.
Thanks for fishing with me guys! We always have a good time.

If you would like to book a trip to come out and give these nice striper a try, give me a call. The bite should be getting even better.

Mickey Nakamura and Ted Chen fished with me today at Pyramid Lake, CA.
We looked for boils on the way out. We only saw a few splashes off in the distance.
We went on out to the bait spot, graphed around for while then set up on the spot.
It wasn't long before Mickey got a nice one about 4½ pounds. Soon after that, Ted got a smaller one then a 3½ pounder.
We never really got a bite going but we did catch a fish now and then.
We stuck it out and managed 8 striper for the day.
We tried trolling for about an hour and a half but never got any attention. We went back to the spot.
Ted got the big fish today at 5.26 pounds.
We had a good time! Thanks for fishing with guys!

I have open days coming up. Give me a call if you would like to book a trip to give these nice striper a try.

On Thursday Khanh Phuoc Nguyen and. Gerald Lim fished with me at Pyramid Lake, CA .
The fish weren't where we looked for them first thing so we set up the trolling rigs and looked around. Gerald was the first one on the board when he caught a small striper stripping a fly on lead core. Khanh was next witha medium sized striper on another fly. Then I caught an even smaller striper on big lure that I was dragging 75 feet deep.
Next we set up to give the bait bite a try. I was the lucky one on bait, all day. I'm not complaining, lol.
The bait bite was slow though, so we decided to go give the catfish a shotn in another spot. I caught s couple nice channel catfish, still getting lucky. Khanh got a couple white catfish but none of us like eating those so back they went.
It was a good day fishing with old friends.
Good times!
Thanks for fishing with me guys!

I think the fishing will be hitting better and better as the water cools off. Give me a call, if you'd like to set up a guided trip.

Peter and Collin Hong fished with me at Pyramid Lake, CA. We met in the late morning and fished until 3:30.
The bite was slow but every once in a while we had some action.
The fish were coming up to the baits on the fish finder and sitting there looking them.
Colin got a few small to medium striper and a 6.6 pound channel cat. Peter got a channel cat that was approaching 5 pounds.
We had a good time. All of the fish were released.

Give me a call to book trips.

Elliott Mitchell fished with me this morning at Pyramid Lake, CA.
The fishing was good. We got 12 striper. They were all different sizes. Sometimes schools of similar size fish show up and we get a few of one size then another group comes and we get a few of that size. Today they weren't grouped by size.
Elliott and I had a good time talking and fishing. The weather was nice too!
Thanks for fishing with me today Elliott! Nice meeting you!

Give me a call if you would like to book a trip and get some striper.
