I made this cute little gift topper in just a short time. Designed by me, handstitched using 100% merino wool felt from Felt on the Fly Co.
Kind of a little learning toy too.... three of everything!

How to make:
I found a numbers font I liked online (cassiesmallwood.com). Printed the number '3' onto freezer paper (or print onto regular paper then trace the outline onto freezer paper with a pencil).
Loosely cut the number from the freezer paper.
Iron the number onto the wool felt and cut out.
Peel off the freezer paper (it comes off easily and leaves no residue), and re-use to iron onto another piece of wool felt so that you have two 3's (back and front).
There's no right or wrong side to this wool felt so dont worry about having to flip the pattern piece around.
Cut little wiggly strips for coral.
Cut little fishies.
I used size 6/0 seed beads that look like bubbles.

Stitch the coral pieces and the fishies using a backstitch.
I stitched tiny little fishie eyes in black by just making a little 'x'.
Bubbles are attached with 3 stitches each and tied tightly on the back.
Put the woo felt 3's together, and start stitching using a blanket stitch, stuffing as you go.
Add a ribbon loop between the front and back.

FeltOnTheFlyCo wool felt colors used are Ocean Blue, Coral, Bottle Green, Light Green and Grasshopper.
