Last night, we celebrated the accomplishments of 158 graduates from Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s Career Services and Training Programs, with 24 graduates joining us in person to mark this important milestone.
These graduates completed training programs in Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Stagehand, Welding, Phlebotomy, and Culinary, taking meaningful steps toward career growth, financial stability, and brighter futures.
Throughout the evening, graduates, staff, family members, and community partners came together to recognize the hard work, perseverance, and determination that brought each participant to this moment. We were honored to hear from guest speaker Magda Iwanska-Hirsch of PNC Bank, who spoke about the resilience of our graduates and the importance of creating access to skills, education, and employment opportunities that lead to long-term stability. She shared PNC’s commitment to workforce development and expressed her pride in the graduates as they continue building brighter futures for themselves and their families.
We were also inspired by graduate speaker Kim Borja, who shared her journey of resilience, transformation, and hope. After overcoming significant personal challenges, Kim completed Goodwill’s CNA Training Program and reminded us all that perseverance and opportunity can create life-changing outcomes.
Congratulations to all of our graduates. We are proud of your accomplishments and look forward to supporting your continued success as you pursue your career goals, achieve your goals, and make a positive impact in our community.
