Each piece begins with thoughtful design and ends with responsible delivery. From concept through fabrication, every effort is made to minimize environmental impact while maximizing beauty and durability.

Materials such as rattan, bamboo, and shell are either repurposed waste or sustainably sourced, honoring nature while giving new life to what might otherwise be discarded.

Varaluz’s origin story started with Luz Elva Carrillo - or Mama Luz to those who loved her.

Raised in a rural farming community in Mexico, Luz was a single mother of six. Her life was shaped by relentless manual labor – stretching meager means to their limits, and turning scarcity into sustenance. From that life of endurance emerged something greater: a woman whose presence brought warmth, hope, and light to everyone around her.

A brand shaped by imagination, intention and conscience, Varaluz has always believed that light should do more than illuminate, it should inspire.
