If you’re a drink girlie like me, then the Skinny 20 Oz Mars tumbler is the way to go! I love this tumbler brand. It fits in my cup holders very well everywhere I go. I also love that I can use it for hot or cold drinks.

I’ve become quite the doodler lately and decided to create a granny square doodle 🥰

As I’ve been catching up on projects that are unfinished over the last year, I’m planning my first temperature blanket!

Yeah—a little late to the game. But Paul likes sentimental things and he loved the idea of it. What’s interesting is this blanket will have a mix of 2 locations 🤯 Tucson, AZ and Las Vegas, NV!

It was really hard for me to pick colors because of either not liking a specific yarn brand or the yarn brand not having colors I like. But nailed it with not only having the best color variety, but also availability through their website 🥹

Oof—on my final stage of this blanket. The tassels are a love hate relationship for me. You love them, you hate the work, etc. some people like borders and some people don’t.

I wanted a border on this blanket, but I felt like it would take away from the ombré effect. So I decided on a white tassel edging on each side.

I’m the worst at tassels. Like you can tell me “cut 8 inch pieces” and I’m over here thinking nope—I refuse to measure each strand.

Many of you have asked about new hooks and I fully understand your requests and inquiries, but this move to Utah took a major hit for us between employees, space, material loss (resin), inflation, and more. The shop is set up, but we have to realign a lot of our business after substantial growth and practically starting all over again.

It’s definitely a hardship that military families experience, especially while transitioning out of the military life.

It’s all finally coming together! Probably my favorite blanket I’ve made so far. The gradients in this Ombré Hues yarn by is absolutely perfect for crocheters with the longer transitions. It’s beautifully blended and the colors available work so well to blend into other color palettes.

I’m working on the fringe, it was a lot of back of forth debate for me to put the fringe on. Once I decided to add fringe, I realized the yarn I have currently didn’t work well with it. I needed another soft DK / Weight 3 polyester blend. The baby yarn bee was my go to since I’ve typically used it for baby blankets.

This blanket is turning out so good. I can’t get over how soft the yarn is and how it blends so well! It’s so hard to find a good gradient yarn for crocheters. I really wanted to stick to a basic stitch so that the colors wouldn’t get lost with too much texture.

Can we all just spam and tell them to never get rid of the Loops and Threads Ombré Hues yarn? It is so affordable and timeless 😍

This is too cute not to share.

My mother in law does quilting and she asked for a custom label and I said why not try doing a handwritten one. She loved the idea and I made her a sew in label with no holes to match her project. She saw it today and she says she cried 🥹

But I’m definitely going to add this as an option for people in the shop in the near future because this is a really awesome and memorable way to make a label.

One thing I enjoy about going on trips is an opportunity to meet others in person! and I have chatted for quite some time and found we had a lot of things in common with Tucson and our hook businesses. I had a trip planned for Tucson and she was flexible enough to meet up!

It was so great to meet Ashley and put a name to a face and know more about her. We may have the same customers, but doesn’t mean we’re enemies!

Skein 3 is in the works while hanging out in Tucson to see family and friends. So far I’ve mixed 3 ombré skeins into this toddler size blanket. I don’t have plans on where this goes, but the toddler size just felt perfect for me to do the ombres when I started working this project. I promise these colors look so much better in person than on a phone.

I’d say the best tip is to start blending in the next skein as your slowly finishing the skein you’re current working on. This is why you don’t see harsh transitions in the blanket. I also intentionally chose yarns that had 3-4 different color sequences that would blend into each other.

I seriously love this yarn by and they better make more options or at least keep this around!

Anyone have yarn suggestions similar to this ombré or for an ombré technique in a crochet project? Would love to hear it!

Update to the Loops and Threads Ombré Hues yarn—still working up beautifully! I’m on skein 2 and both are different colors. So far they seamlessly blend together which makes me ever so happy!

I have more yarn to blend together and I’m so excited to see how this all turns out!
