We're the Johnsons, the family behind Bend Soap Company making handcrafted bars of goat milk soap & other all-natural skincare products. Our story begins in February of 2007 when we welcomed our first goats to the farm: Molly, Velvet, and their 3 kids. When we found out that our son, Chance, had eczema, we did some research and found that fresh goat's milk was a safe and effective ingredient for u
s to use on his sensitive skin. Not only that, but goat milk soap was also a great alternative from the chemical-filled beauty and skincare products like the creams, lotions, and soaps we were finding in stores. And after having such great luck with the bars of goat milk soap in our own family, we began passing out samples to our friends, family, and acquaintances. Then we started getting inquiries from people asking for more of the soap weâd shared with them... Everyone wanted more! There were a number of friends and family members who either had eczema or psoriasis that gave our goat milk soap a try and shared how they loved the way their skin looked and felt after using our soap. So, we kept making our goat milk soap. We here at Bend Soap Company have always known that what you put on your skin is important, but weâd never given much thought about the ingredients that were in the products we were using on our skin. This is when we discovered that not all soaps are created equal and that the products we were applying to Chances skin, like the soaps and lotions, were contributing to his dry skin. For this reason alone, we believe it's important to know what your skin is absorbing. Itâs been quite a journey since adopting our first milk goats back in 2007 and we couldn't be more excited to share our goat milk soap and other natural skincare products with all of you today.
