What an incredible year it has been.

Taylor Montgomery,CEC WCEC CCA winning the NCRLA Chef of the Year is a moment that’s hard to put into words. It’s especially meaningful because we are so proud to farm here in North Carolina and to be part of the agricultural community that makes this state so special.

North Carolina agriculture is the backbone of this state, our sincere appreciation to NCRLA Chef Showdown | NC’s #1 Culinary & Mixology Competition, NC Restaurant & Lodging Assoc. ,Heidi Billotto | HeidiBillottoFood.com | Food & Travel Writer and NC Agriculture for bringing it so much support. We believe deeply in preserving and fighting for a diverse, nutrient dense and resilient food system.

Lots of new faces on here, so let us reintroduce ourselves.

We’re Taylor and Fran and this is Montgomery Sky Farm.

We’ve spent the last ten years building this dream.

It starts with the land. We’re a regenerative farm, growing food while working to restore the soil, care for the ecosystem, and leave this place better than we found it.

It includes the rescue animals as part of our family, regenerative and no waste mindset. We’re an animal rescue, too- giving animals a safe place to land and become part of the life of this farm final run rescue.

Here, dining isn’t separate from the farm. The land, the food, the animals, the people, the stories- they’re all connected. You’re stepping into a living, working farm and experiencing food in a way that can only happen here.

Not another restaurant.
Not another farm.
Not another dining experience.

Something that could only exist here, on this land, with our community, and our farm family.

We’re here to reconnect people with where their food comes from, create a deeper relationship with the land, and show you just how extraordinary a meal can be when the entire experience is rooted in place.

This is Montgomery Sky Farm.

And we’re just getting started.

The first photo is the harvest transformed. The second is where it all began.

These heirloom squash became this dish: seed to soil, blossom to table, all grown right here. It's a reminder that the most beautiful meals aren't just made in the kitchen; they're cultivated with patience, weather, and time.

As the season begins to shift, we are holding onto the joy of eating what the garden so generously gave.

Here's to welcoming August and to honoring every meal that tells the story of where it came from.

This week's heirloom harvest is more than beautiful produce, it's the result of hard work, stewardship, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

"Farm to table" shouldn't be a marketing term. It should be the standard. Everyone deserves to know where their food comes from, how it's grown, and how it's handled.
