On Saturday, September 26, Bella the Corner Gourmet will welcome Cheryl Stahle, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, to perform a demonstration of how to make potholders on a framed loom. Cheryl began weaving in the 1970’s and her hobby has turned into a business called Hearthstitch. Cheryl combines innovative weaving techniques, high-quality materials, and original designs to create handwoven potholders that are as beautiful as they are useful. Every piece is “woven with care, a little Appalachian charm, and a whole lot of love.” Cheryl will also be bringing an extra loom for people to try their hand at a craft that dates back to 7000 years ago. Cheryl will be at Bella the Corner Gourmet between 1pm and 6pm.
