We brought our own fire pit to the farm today. Come see us to talk about making a custom piece of furniture for you. Or to pick up a charcuterie board for someone for Christmas!

We have figs! People often ask us why the woodworking business is called “Fig and Vine”. For us, this inspiration comes from over 3 places in the Bible and over 50 times in George Washington’s correspondence, all of it referencing the blessings of the land that provide promises of peace, independence, contentment, and prosperity. These fig trees came from saplings from Susan’s mom and dad’s home on the Great Wicomico River in the Northern Neck of Virginia, where she and her brother and sister were raised. When first transplanted here in Lexington, they lost all their leaves and looked as if they would die. But with some consistent TLC, they are now thriving. Like these little fig trees, we are pouring TLC into this passion project over time until one day we retire from our full time careers in medical aviation and turn our attention into the woodworks full time!
