NEW CLASSES are coming this fall!

* I have already announced that the shop will have an English Paper Piecing class in September. The cost of this class is $30.
* On September 3rd, our kids' sewing club will begin, for grades 3-8. This will run weekly, on Thursday afternoons after school, from 3:30-5:30pm. A small snack will be provided. We will start with machine basics, such as how to thread the sewing machine, and then move onto a simple quilt project. "Quarter 1" of this club will run from September 3rd through October 8th. Then we will start a different project for the next quarter. The cost per week will be $12 per student. If you would like to pay for the entire quarter (for Quarter 1, 6 weeks) upfront, the per week price drops a bit, making the total just $60 instead of $72. More information will be available on the website soon.
* I will likely have a high school program this fall as well, but I am still working out those details. More to come.
* There may also be some classes or clubs aimed at the college age. Please check back for more information.
* For adults who are comfortable with quilting and ready for triangles, I will be teaching a Triangle Frenzy class where students have the option of making a Christmas-themed table topper or a tree skirt. This class will meet for 2 sessions -- October 6th & October 13th, from 5:30-9pm. Price and other details will be available on the website soon.
* Because my beginner class was such a popular class, I will be running another one in October and part of November. This time we will meet on Wednesdays from October 7th-November 4th (5 sessions), from 5:30-9pm. Price and additional details will be on the website soon.
* There will probably be more classes/open sew program/etc coming soon. Please check back if you are interested.

Happy Friday! It's a beautiful day, and I hope you are enjoying it! I just want to let you know that, while I normally offer 1-on-1 "learn your sewing machine" classes on an as-needed basis only at my shop, during regular business hours, I have recently expanded that to include me traveling to you, assuming you live in the local area.

If you come to my shop, I charge a flat $30/hour, with an hour minimum.

If you are unable to come to me or would just prefer that I come to you, the cost will be my normal teaching rate plus travel time. For example, if you live 15 minutes by car from my shop, that means 30 minutes of travel for me, and I would charge for that time. So a 1-hour class in this example would cost $30 (class) + $15 (my travel) = $45. I can accept cash at the time of the class or enter in your credit card info over the phone in advance.

Come and learn English Paper Piecing. You will be provided a kit, that includes fabric, paper pieces and a needle. Please bring scissors and a light-colored, 50wt spool of thread. Due to extenuating circumstances, the shop will be closed Thursday (7/23) and Friday (7/24). We will be open normal hours on Saturday and Sunday and then closed again through Monday, August 3rd, re-opening for normal hours on Tuesday, August 4th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
