This weekend I finished Just for the Cameras by Meghan Quinn. This is the first book in a new three-book series, with the first two books being released this year.
When a pro football player is paired with a nerdy zoologist for publicity, of course things are going to get interesting. He has no interest in being there, and she is reluctant to deal with the grumpy man insulting her beloved flamingos. But through their differences, they find a way to bring awareness to each of their professions in a new way and learn that they can actually get along when it counts.
As Maple learns more about Graydon and his background, she breaks through his grumpy shell to see the heart underneath. This book had a lot of heart and some really sweet moments. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and if you enjoy reading Meghan’s books, you might get that de ja vu feeling that you've read about these characters before. Many of them come from other series, though they are not intertwined enough that you'll be lost not having read the others.
