Happy Thursday, We are OPEN from 11-8 today!

God had promised them a land flowing with milk and honey. But between the promise and the Promised Land came a long journey.

And isn't that just like our lives sometimes?
God can give us a promise, a dream, a calling, or a direction—and yet the road between where we are and where we're going can be much longer and harder than we imagined.

The God who parted the Red Sea is still God in the wilderness.

The God who made a way then can make a way now.

And the same God who promised them a land flowing with milk and honey reminds us that His promises are worth holding onto, even when the journey is difficult.

From the moment the prayer is prayed… to the moment the promise is fulfilled. 🤎🍯

There is a whole journey in between.

There is the prayer.
There is the waiting.
There is the wandering.
There are the moments of wondering, “God, are You still working?”
There are doors that don't open when we thought they would.
There are seasons that feel longer than we expected.
There are Red Seas that seem impossible to cross.

And then there is the moment when we look back and realize…

God was working the whole time.

The Israelites knew God had promised them a land flowing with milk and honey, but they still had a wilderness to walk through before they reached it.

The promise didn't mean there wouldn't be a process.

And sometimes I think that's what we forget.

We pray for the blessing, but we don't always prepare ourselves for the waiting.

We pray for the Promised Land, but we don't always understand that there may be a wilderness between the prayer and the promise.

But the wilderness doesn't mean God has forgotten you.

The waiting doesn't mean the answer isn't coming.

Sometimes God is doing a work in us while He is working things out for us.

So if you're somewhere in that in-between today—between the prayer you prayed and the answer you're waiting for—don't lose heart.

Keep praying.
Keep believing.
Keep walking.
Keep trusting.
Keep remembering what God has already done.

And most importantly…

Don't forget who you are, and don't forget whose you are.

It smells absolutely amazing in the Mercantile today! 🌾🥖

​The morning delivery from Grace & Grain has just arrived, bringing that comforting, nostalgic scent of fresh, handcrafted baking right into the shop. If you haven't tried this small-batch sourdough yet, consider this your sign.

​Our shelves are currently stocked with beautiful, rustic artisan loaves, chewy plain and everything bagels, and those incredibly rich sourdough chocolate chip cookies. Everything is crafted the old-fashioned way with pure, simple ingredients and a whole lot of care for the craft.
