I somehow deleted the photo of the skeleton on the pinning board, which was technically my step one of positioning the skeleton around the hand forged bodice knife 🤦‍♀️
As you can see from the photos, the skeleton did not completely hold up in the degreasing and whitening process. So, I had to get creative to disguise my imperfections.
Regardless, here is a photo set of my process from start to finish of this real snake skeleton wrapped around an iron dagger.

This little beauty lost her abdomen during rehydration and instead of using her for just her wings, I decided to take more inspiration from Crawl Gallery. I attached a dried carnation bud to her thorax. I love her 🥰
