Entry #002 — 🎣
Fishing means something different to everyone.
For some, it’s stepping outside their comfort zone.
For others, it becomes healing.
After getting out of the army, fishing became a way for to slow down, stay present, and work through panic attacks and PTSD.
What started as time on the water became something much bigger — teaching patience, persistence, peace, and the importance of enjoying the moment.
Today, fishing allows him to give back to veterans, first responders, and others struggling with mental health by sharing the same peace and connection he found through fishing.
Along the way, it also brought community, friendships…
and even an unexpected romance!
Stories like this are exactly why we started the O.B.E photobook series.
Not just for the catches…
but for the people and stories behind them.
Thank you for sharing your story with us.
If you’ve caught on O.B.E and want to be featured, send us your favorite catch and your fishing story 🎣
