Flat weave kilim. 150 years ago it served as decorative insulation for sides of a tent for Nomadic groups who traveled through most of North Eastern Afghanistan and Pakistan. It was used inside, away from sunlight so its colors are still vibrant. It's narrow width indicates it was made on a very portable loom that was folded up every few weeks as it moved to better grazing areas. It's fibers are sheep, camel and goat. Excellent antique condition. It's been in our storage for 20+ years. It was said to be 120+ years old when we acquired it. SIZE is 22 x 182 inches (1.10 x 15') Makes a beautiful runner. This classic hand knotted wool rug has been in storage over 20 years and NEVER USED. It's in mint condition, colors are still vibrant. It's made of hand dyed, hand processed wool, in Pakistan by experienced weavers. This well-made high quality pile rug has NEVER been walked on or exposed to sunlight.
Size is 13x16.5 feet. It's a BIG RUG and would retail easily for $15,000+ in fashionable stores. We're letting it go for $3900.
