On the bench, a really cool guitar sent over by Rich Robinson for an acoustic pickup system. Which means the Brotherhood might be playing some acoustic shows sometime this year! The guitar is a beautifully designed and built Zemaitis from their Custom Shop in Japan. The craftsmanship and tone of this guitar is top notch! The pickup system is the pairing of a Trance Audio pre amp and 3 K&K top transducers. Great set up for a realistic live acoustic sound. And if you are using the K&K pickups adding this top notch pre amp will improve your pickups tone and output. With lots of great mono, stereo and blending options available. I’ll try to post a video soon to hear how it sounds.

I’ve always been proud of what Ben Harper and I created together. These modern slide guitars were born from his love of 1920’s Weissenborns and his vision for an electric version that could sing sweetly—or melt your face off through his Dumble—with far more versatility. ⚒️

In 1997, Ben called my shop to introduce himself and talk about building a custom slide guitar. That moment set the stage for an instrument that became a defining part of his signature tone and playing style.

Nearly three decades later, it’s still an incredible journey to be a part of. 🙏🪵🔊🎶

It is always a gratifying moment to hand over a custom made guitar to its owner. These are extremely intricate guitar builds with over 100 hours of precision work. Here we are 12 months later and thrilled to deliver another Irwin masterpiece. Swipe through some nice photos of final bench time and Chuck in the demo room for its first bit of jam time.
