The store is proudly owned and operated by Jax Honeycutt, a passionate teen who is not only a book lover but also an activist, actor, and advocate who identifies as Black and q***r. I don’t know about you, but I feel smothered by violence and bigotry plaguing our country right now. Sometimes I feel helpless and hopeless because it is so overwhelming. But I have to remember that our country has been here before and our grandmothers and grandfathers fought through it to get us to this other side. Now it’s our turn to arm ourselves with education and courage. Here are some titles I’ve been reading or have read since the summer of 2020 to understand how to be better and how to fight back. We are gonna make it, together. 🐝📚🪴
