Some of the artisans from our holiday event are getting together for this sale on Sat. June 27

Coming right up! A sweet artisan sale with 8 great local makers and free refreshments. Palmero Drive is a wide street in the Mt. Washington neighborhood, close the the border of Glassell Park and near Eagle Rock and Highland Park. I haven't been doing many events, so this is a great opportunity to discover what's new, refresh your accessories, see beautiful things and buy from the artists who create them.

Have you seen our street banner across Colorado Blvd. near Eagle Rock Blvd.? The crafts sale is THIS SATURDAY! Come on by and find unique things made by local artists (all while supporting the free produce distribution and other community programs at St. Be's).

A portion of all sales will benefit St. Be's community events and programs, including their weekly free produce distribution that benefits approximately 400 local families each Thursday. If you could use a little help or would like to volunteer, just come by around 7 am any Thursday morning (except major holidays).

Piece by Piece is a non-profit organization that empowers Los Angeles residents who have experienced homelessness or economic insecurity by providing free mosaic art workshops enabling them to build confidence, earn supplementary income, promote wellness and an improved quality of life. Last year, they were one of the most popular exhibitors in the Artisan Shuk Marketplace, and we're delighted to welcome them back.

Currently they are helping people preserve memories by using fragments and artifacts recovered after the fires to build new and useful items for those impacted.

Claudia Van Corva uses naturally occuring pigments in plants to dye fabric, which she converts into silk scarves, table runners, shawls and tote bags. Each piece exhibits fascinating layers of colors and textures.
