Our exploration of green tea continues with China. A focused, sensory-forward gathering exploring pan-fired green teas and the nuanced profiles shaped by tradition, craftsmanship, and regional expression.

Join us for an intentional afternoon of tasting and discussion. We’ll explore how processing methods like pan-firing and shaping influence the leaf; from delicate, downy buds to bold, expressive styles. Together, we’ll taste through multiple cups, notice differences in aroma, body, and finish, and deepen our understanding of what makes Chinese green tea distinct.

Guests will receive guided tasting notes and a small tea gift to take home.

A long-anticipated addition to the Steeping Hour series. ✨ new date!

Join us on Saturday April 11th for a guided introduction to tasseography: where tea becomes symbol, ritual, and reflection.

We’ll explore the history of reading leaves, learn how to properly brew and turn the cup, and practice interpreting common patterns together in a grounded, welcoming setting.

Each guest will also create a custom loose-leaf blend to take home for continued practice, along with a printed guide of symbols and meanings.
