Little Tokyo and Boyle Heights have a connection that spans 120 years. Following the Great San Francisco Earthquake in 1906, Japanese immigrants migrated to Los Angeles and congregated in Boyle Heights where they bought homes and built families. Today, landmarks like the Japanese Hospital and El Tepeyac Café are reminders of the bond that unites the two communities.

Join us on Sunday, March 29, 1:00-6:00 pm for the L.A. Rising Fest as we honor the shared history between Little Tokyo and Boyle Heights and celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Robert Vargas’ Shohei Ohtani mural.
