Dealers have hit the highway or are packing boxes of books to show you this Friday ! Doors open at 1 - food truck on site so just get in the car and make an evening of it til 7pm. Saturday hours 10-4 !

Fred Taraba in booth C4 will be bringing this fab direct advertising cutout. We can't wait to see ya there !!!!

Stand-up drugstore die-cut display piece from the 1930’s for Palmolive Shave Cream. I’ll have many others advertising a variety of products. This particular piece measures 26 x 18” and is in unused condition with stand intact. This was easier to photograph than were most of the others which range all the way up to about 32 x 72".

Taraba will be bringing along a wide variety of interesting (at least to him!) things, primarily of an ephemeral nature. There will also be some prints, many panoramic photos… and, and, and.

We are in countdown mode; and in one week Richard Chant of Abacus Books will be bringing this exceptional first edition of one of the most important early works in the literature and history of golf ⛳️ to the fair -- the first extensive history of the game golf to be published. 1/200 printed, this title is part of his forthcoming catalog "The Literature of Golf: 1875-present" -- to receive the catalog 📕 write Richard directly or find him at the fair!

Clark, Robert. Golf: A Royal and Ancient Game. Edinburgh: R & R Clark, 1875. First Edition. Hard cover. Small quarto. [xxi] 284pp. Green cloth with embossed gilt and black decoration. Top edge gilt. Original dark brown endpapers with the original binder's label of Burn & Co. Collated complete with all illustrations. Housed in a magnificent custom made clam shell case featuring marbled paper over 3/4 green morocco leather with gilt tooling and a contrasting red leather spine label. The tissue guard to the frontispiece has a small closed tear otherwise the book is without fault. The gilt and cloth remain unusually bright, as does the interior which is free from any marks of previous ownership. Donovan & Murdoch: 900. Murdoch 128.

The one and only Ken Sanders Rare Books will be bringing this stunning, signed copy of Blood Meridian to the fair - but you'll have to head over to the Ranch Events Complex to see it in person. McCarthy, Cormac. [Ex-libris: Nicholas Potter, bookseller]. Blood Meridian, or the Evening Redness in the West [Inscribed]. New York: Random House, 1985. First edition, first printing.

Inscribed by Cormac McCarthy in black ink on the half-title page to Santa Fe bookseller, Nicholas Potter: "For Nicholas Potter | With all best wishes | from your friend | Cormac McCarthy."

A significant association copy, warmly inscribed by the notoriously reclusive author to his long-time friend, the late Santa Fe bookseller Nicholas Potter. Throughout a friendship spanning forty years, Potter’s bookstore served as a frequent destination for McCarthy, where the two shared a rapport rooted in their mutual appreciation of literature, art, music, and history. This volume represents a vital fragment of that connection; McCarthy, who famously avoided public life, inscribed most of his published works to Potter.

A short note in Nicholas Potter's hand is laid in: "Incredibly powerful prose combined with a dark and bloody subject matter. This copy inscribed to me by Cormac in the mid 1990's. Very rare inscribed. 1st issue, without remainder mark (fewer than 2,000 of the 5,000 copy printing were sold before it was remaindered). Considered by many to be the greatest American novel of the 2nd half of the 20th century."

A bit East of the Rockies, this is the live sale preview in Bonham's remarkable new location. David Godine’s printing and process rare book collection waits In the 1925 Steinway tower that sits nestled in a contrast to the sleek slim skyscraper that houses the rest of their gallery and auction space.

An intimate rotunda allows lighted showcases to dance in a circle, while soft, natural light pools in from a high south facing window - both welcome and unusual aesthetics in the midst of modernist Midtown and Upper Eastside galleries.

The books may be the star, but the crown is the incredible ceiling - alongside Gilded Age flourishes everywhere you look. In this dimly lit oasis, nuanced voices mingle around an iconic Steinway grand sitting at the center of it all- a witness to a new era for Bonhams, New Yorkers, art and book lovers.

Btw: we are counting down (3-1/2 months!) to our own rare book Moment- the 42nd annual Rocky Mtn book fair, tickets are available now and ... we can't wait to see you all 💗🌷
