🍇 A LITTLE SWEET SHOT UPDATE! 🍍
Hello everyone! This is Melorah with Sweet Shot. 💗 I wanted to reintroduce myself and share a quick update about Sweet Shot’s schedule moving forward.
For those who may not know me, my name is Melorah Chavez, and I’m a small business owner here in Lubbock, TX. I was born and raised here, and I started Sweet Shot when I was just 14, right before starting high school. I’m now 19 and will be turning 20 this October—which is honestly crazy to think about!
Over the past few years, Sweet Shot has grown so much, and I’ve been incredibly lucky to build such an amazing community around my little business. I’ve met so many wonderful people, made so many memories, and watched Sweet Shot grow with me through high school.
I’ve also been running Sweet Shot completely on my own since I started. That means I’ve handled pretty much every part of the business myself—from making and preparing our treats, managing custom orders, answering messages and questions, keeping up with our menu, scheduling, preparing for pop-ups, setting up, running our social media, and taking care of our customers. It has definitely been a lot of work, but I genuinely love what I do and wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. 💕
Recently, I’ve received quite a few messages asking when we’ll be back at Candy Girl and when I’ll have availability for custom orders, so I wanted to explain what’s changing.
This year, I’ve decided to pursue my college education at SPC, so my schedule will look a little different. I also recently hired my aunt, Delilah, to help me with Sweet Shot, and I’m really excited about it! Having an extra set of hands will make a huge difference as I balance school and the business.
Does this mean Sweet Shot is going away? Absolutely not! 🍬
I love Sweet Shot, I love creating our treats, and most importantly, I love seeing all of my sweet customers! Sweet Shot is still very much here, with more limited availability and fewer pop-ups at Candy Girl for now.
Our goal is to be at Candy Girl at least once a week, whether that’s Thursday or Saturday. Please keep an eye on this page for our schedule updates and announcements, and message us if you’d like to place a custom order or check availability!
And YES—we still take custom orders EVERY WEEK! 🎉
If you’re looking for treats for a birthday, party, event, gift, or just because, please message us to ask about availability. We also have a 4-page menu with tons of options, so don’t hesitate to reach out and start your order!
Custom orders are especially appreciated because they help me keep Sweet Shot growing while giving me the flexibility I need as I navigate college.
So, long story short:

We’re just entering a new chapter with a slightly different schedule.
Thank you SO much for your patience, continued support, and understanding while I figure out this new balance. Sweet Shot has been such a huge part of my life since I was 14, and I’m so excited to keep sharing it with all of you.
I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without everyone who has ordered, shared our posts, visited us at pop-ups, recommended us to friends, or supported my little business over the years.
