A year and a half ago, my talented friend Mai Anh Nguyen took these photos of me on a December afternoon in Boulder, Colorado.
I didn’t yet know how exactly I was going to build a business around my love for and expertise in style and resale, but I had a hunch that pro photos would come in handy.
I got all zhuzhed up, straightened and parted my hair down the center for some baffling reason (note: I *never* wear my hair this straight or parted down the center), and strutted around the streets decked in metallic and leather, hoping to channel my inner supermodel (or something? Who can say).
Since that afternoon, I left my 9-5 and have appeared in , , , and have written about resale for media outlets like . I’ve worked 1:1 with clients to shop, style, and advise on wardrobe cleanouts. I’ve hosted a paid workshop, appeared as a guest on podcasts, and have met some amazing, amazing new friends along the way. Most importantly, I’ve learned *so much* about both launching and running a business and doing right by my audience and clients.
While I specialize in the resale world, most of my clients are NOT self-described “thrifters” or “vintage-lovers.” They’re ambitious people who just love to look and feel good – like me. And yeah, saving ~2,400 gallons of water by buying a pair of resale jeans rather than new jeans feels pretty OK!
I specialize in finding special power pieces for one-off events – think: speaking engagements, vacations, parties, premieres, book tours, weddings, etc. – as well as wardrobe cleanouts and resale education.
