Little sweetheart of an OM just boxed up.
This OM-18 is a bit unique with some of its features like a master grade Italian spruce top, red spruce braces throughout from my home state of Virginia, also, featured Guatemalan Rosewood bindings and all wood purflings. The neck will be a light weight mahogany, bar fret and ebony rod. This guitar when it’s all said and done will be heading to a very special event next year that I will announce at a later date along with a few other special builds that I have planned.
I can’t wait to share!🥳

Braced a new OM-18 top out of some local Virginia red spruce from our second highest point, Whitetop Mountain down in Grayson County. This was my first time using red spruce for brace material and was quite lovely to carve.

There’s been a few inquiries about a Brazilian herringbone dreadnought build. This is an old set of Brazilian that came out of the Martin factory probably sometime, if I had to guess in the 60s when these sides were bent. This set of Brazilian came from Mike Longworth’s collection. I’ll be building a red spruce topped 37 spec herringbone with this set of wood that will be made available.
