Dark, red, wonderfully awesome, and serving food until midnight. Great Sunday night stop before a show at the Majestic.
We ordered the apple and brie flatbread and Mushu pork dumplings at Nattspill in downtown Madison. Our completely empty plates should tell you how that went.

My third order, so I think we can officially call these a travel essential. ✈️

If overly sweet, artificial-tasting or salty electrolyte drinks aren’t your thing, these may be worth a look.
Aibiodi sent me its watermelon electrolyte packets to try. The flavor is light, they dissolved completely in cold water after a vigorous stir, and I didn’t notice the usual salty aftertaste. I also like the individual sticks for keeping in my purse or packing for travel.

Thank you, OLAY , for sending me the Regenerist Wrinkle Correcting Treatment Serum to try. My first impression: a lightweight, silky serum that absorbs quickly without feeling sticky, greasy or tacky. I didn’t notice any fragrance, and my skin felt softer immediately after applying it.
I’ll continue using it at night to see how it performs over time.

We failed Food Content Creation 101 at Hazelhurst Pub: Dave and I ate the entire burger before either of us remembered to take a picture. 😂
Fortunately, the cordon bleu balls survived long enough to make their video debut. Crispy on the outside, cheesy on the inside and absolutely worth ordering.
Please accept the empty plate as evidence that the burger was also excellent.

Looking for things to do in Minocqua, Wisconsin? Put Northern Waters Distillery on your list, and make sure you GO OUT BACK.
We’ve visited Northern Waters Distillery plenty of times. They make their spirits right here in Minocqua, and I’m already a fan of their cucumber vodka and coffee vodka.
What we somehow missed for YEARS was the backyard.
There’s outdoor seating tucked behind the distillery, plenty of room to enjoy a cocktail and a gorgeous Wisconsin Northwoods view.
Save this for your next Minocqua trip, and apparently learn from us: don’t stop at the front door.

Proof that sometimes you have to sacrifice looking cute for hydrated skin. 😂
