Doing an activity that is reserved only for a bad day can make these activities more fun and special and can turn a bad day into a good one quickly. Here are a few gifts or ideas for a rainy day.

1. Umbrella Hat: While only a few are actually practical, you can give yourself and coworkers a laugh walking through the parking lot with your hands free to hold some warm coffee and some morning breakfast.
2. A rainy day club or group: Start or join a group at work or online that only meets or does something special on rainy days. This could be on rainy days someone brings in donuts or pretzels or everyone tells a "joke of the day" related to rain or water.
3. A rainy day fund jar: Put in an amount that depends on how hard it's raining, $1 for sprinkling, $5 for moderate and $10 for a storm. This could shared in an office to be used on the next month's first rainy day. Watch how many coworkers will say a heavy rain is only a sprinkle.
4. Play a solo board game or a small puzzle. It's hard to be down when there is a puzzle to be solved.
5. A recipe book: Try a new recipe on rainy days! Make it rain or water themed by making a new drink or some dish that you would only eat on a cold day like a new stew or soup.
