🍂 Fall mornings. Summer afternoons. Crockpot dinners.
When you’re craving cozy but it’s still too warm to heat up the kitchen—or stand over a hot grill….the crockpot understands the assignment. 🙌
This Honey Garlic Chicken made with our local raw honey was easy, sweet, savory & absolutely a keeper. 🍯
🍯 Honey Garlic Chicken — Crock-Pot
Ingredients
* 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
* ½ cup honey
* ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
* ¼ cup ketchup
* 4 cloves garlic, minced (or about 1½ tsp jarred minced garlic)
* 1 tsp onion powder
* ½ tsp ground ginger (optional)
* ¼ tsp black pepper
* 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
* 1 Tbsp cornstarch + 2 Tbsp cold water (at the end, to thicken)
Dump it in: Put the chicken in the Crock-Pot. Stir together everything except the cornstarch and water, then pour it over the chicken.
Cook: LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the chicken reaches 165°F.
Finish: Remove the chicken and shred or chop it. Mix the cornstarch with the cold water, stir it into the sauce, then return the chicken. Cover and cook on HIGH another 10–15 minutes until the sauce thickens and gets glossy.
Serve it over rice with broccoli, green beans, or whatever vegetable the kids will tolerate 😂.💕✨🐝
