Custom PAF build: Part 1. ⚡🌧️

Here’s Part 1 of a custom PAF humbucker project underway at the Rainy Day Sound Labs bench.

Instead of traditional covers, we’re laser-cutting nickel silver with custom lightning bolt cutouts, deburring the edges, and running them through a wet tumble polish for an ultra-clean base. From there, we engrave brass shim stock with an intricate micro-mesh pattern to create custom "gold foil" underlays that peek through the steel.

Part 2 will show the bluing, relic work, and final assembly—where we will officially announce this new treatment for our ModLab and Custom Shop lineup.

From raw components to boxed and ready to ship.
