Mother Nature has spoken, and FLOATSWELLA 2026 is officially floating to its rain date!

Join us on Sunday, July 19th from 1:00 PM–4:00 PM for an unforgettable afternoon on the Mystic River in Downtown Mystic CT .

Bring your kayak, canoe, or paddleboard and enjoy live music from RED LION BAND and Flowers & Kain, with appearances by Suave-Ski—all from the best seat in town...your paddle craft!

A few important reminders:
• Paddlecraft only (no motors)
• Life jackets are required for all paddlers
• No alcohol permitted
• No swimming

On December 2nd Downtown Mystic Retailers open their doors to welcome the community for the Holiday Season with light bites and drinks in Downtown Mystic CT. Come down and start your holiday shopping at the Mystic Christmas Lantern Luminaria Stroll! The streets are decorated with lighted lanterns and carolers will be strolling entertaining the crowd. Performers include The Music Studio , Ashley Jones Violin , Mystic River Brass Ensemble , Ledyard Music High School Carolers, Union Baptist Church Concert Bells, Mystic River Chorale, Noank-Mystic Community Band and Mystic Ukulele.

The public is invited to an informational meeting regarding rehabilitation of the Mystic River Bascule Bridge. The meeting will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 7pm.

The virtual public information meeting is being held to provide the public and local community the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. The meeting will take place on Zoom, and registration is required. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded. Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2026 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s).
