🏈 You never know who's going to walk through your door… or what's going to pull into your shop!
Recently, Kyle Mackenzie, Sr. Director of Leasing & Fleet Management at Hilldrup, walked into Equipment Specialists Inc. looking for parts and technical assistance with a Maxon liftgate that wasn't working.
This was our first interaction with Hilldrup.
While Kyle was here, our team spoke with Hilldrup's service technicians over the phone to help troubleshoot the problem. After discussing the situation, they decided to bring the trailer to ESI so we could help get it back in service as quickly as possible.
What we didn't know was that Hilldrup operates and supports the truck and equipment trailer for the University of Virginia Cavaliers football program!
So you can imagine our surprise when the UVA football trailer rolled into the shop!
Hilldrup's team had already replaced the liftgate motor and started installing a new motor solenoid, but the liftgate still wasn't operating.
Our technicians finished the solenoid installation, corrected several wiring issues, reassembled everything, and got the liftgate working again.
No touchdowns were scored that day, but we'd certainly call it a win! 🏈
