🌱 No-Till Garden Benefits + Why I Get Mine Ready in the Fall! 🍂
One of my favorite things about no-till gardening is seeing how beautiful the soil becomes when you let it work naturally. Instead of constantly disturbing the soil, we’re protecting the soil structure, encouraging beneficial microbes and worms, and helping it hold onto moisture and nutrients. 🙌
And THIS is exactly why I like getting my garden ready in the fall! 🍁 Giving the soil a head start before winter means the compost and organic matter have time to settle in and continue breaking down, so come spring, the garden is ready to go instead of starting from scratch.
I also shoveled out the compost so you can see just how smooth and unclumped it is! 😍 That beautiful, crumbly texture is what we’re looking for — healthy soil that isn’t packed full of hard clumps.
Fall garden prep doesn’t have to mean digging everything up. With no-till, it’s more about building the soil, protecting it, feeding it, and letting nature do the work. 🌿
Less digging. Less disturbance. Healthier soil. Happier plants. 💚
Who else is getting their garden beds ready for fall and winter? 🍂🌱
