The birth of an ulu bowl.

Today I made a cherry space saver ulu bowl for an order.

The wood work is not my favorite thing to do because it takes a lot of time compared to the other things I do and the wood shop is not air conditioned and it has been super hot lately but I finally made this one today.

The pictures loaded from finished working back to the start and I am too lazy to flip them. :)

So I am finally working on doing a massive over haul of our web site to make it more mobile user friendly. It is a work in progress and I am still adding our pictures and products but I have a few things loaded and basically functional.

If you want to take a look at it I have customcutlery.net pointed at it for now and will eventually have our .com address going there but I don't want to disrupt the .com address until the site is finished.

Any input, suggestions or ideas would be welcome.

Last week we changed phone providers and had some outages on Friday and again on Monday while the change was taking place.

When we made the change we also discontinued our 800 number due to low volume usage. In the world of cell phones, long distance is not really a consideration anymore and the cost of having the service was no longer necessary.

Our phones are now working correctly with our new provider and you can call us at 319-741-3199 with any of your needs.

This is the perfect time to be thinking about a nice carving set to use on that ham or turkey you are serving on Thanksgiving.

We have a heavy duty carving fork and it can be matched with a 7" or 8" carving knife or a nice chef's knife to make a great carving set.
