What's in a name? Eleven years ago I started a blog and came up with the name, The Weaver's Muse. The goal was to face fears, which I did temporarily, very temporarily. I've dabbled in side hustles my entire adult life - always coming back to my favorite, basket weaving. I'm now also a children's book author, illustrator, and water color artist. I've been inspired by strange things that are still in my head waiting to be put on paper, and we are close! I don't take myself too seriously, there's not time for that. I hope a lot of people smile at my antics and my non-stop creative brain that is always trying to figure things out, which can cause me to ping from one thing to another pretty rapidly. Figuring things out is probably why I like Survivor, The Traitors, and mysteries (I grew up with a well-worn library card - read every single Nancy Drew). I can ruin a movie pretty quickly by figuring things out and not keeping them to myself.
If you know me, you understand the weaver portion, baskets. But I also love to weave stories into my life as well, which takes on the Muse portion of the name, which basically means to become absorbed in thought. Yep, that's me. Always thinking going in way to many directions.
Now that you've made it this far, I want to share the most important part of this name, The Weaver's Muse. I am daily inspired by our Creator. He is the Master Weaver of life, grace, and mercy and I am eternally grateful to all that He was, is, and is yet to come. It is my desire to let the light of Jesus shine in all aspects of my life. Wish me luck, I'll fail, but I rest in the knowledge that I am forgiven and loved beyond my comprehension!
It's going to take a bit to get this page rolling like I want to, so hang in there! I hope this journey is fun for you and me!
