Back in 2014, I went on a mission trip to Costa Rica. It was a wonderful trip and experience, and if you want to go on a trip, I can hook you up!

On the trip, I had the opportunity to buy this blanket from a local. I bought it to commemorate the trip, but since the trip this blanket has sat on a shelf.

I finally made use of it, and made a ... what's it called? A duster, a kimono? Its a wearable 🤷‍♀️🤣 Its comfortable, lightweight, and fun!

This weekend I turned blankets, and sham, into jackets! My daughter is wearing what was once her crib blanket. She never actually used it as a crib blanket because she was a baby, but I saved it and now she can actually use it!

I got smarter with the boy, and didn’t bother buying any crib blankets because, well babies can't have blankets, so I had to get more creative. I had some pillow cases from a quilt set... it was just the size for this little man! I cannabalized a shirt of my husband's and made him his own jacket.

Another shout out to the beautiful Marisa Granan ! She got rid of a sweatshirt a few months ago. It was a seriously odd sweatshirt! The fit and look was weird.... But I had seen an idea to cut off the weird areas and marry it with a flannel shirt! I gave her first pick since the sweatshirt was originally from her, and she took it back home with her!

I will share something I made Monday with the sleeves!!!

This week has been spent crocheting! I was tagged in a post about turning tshirts into ponchos, and I said Hey! I can do that!

The customer sent me her tshirts, and I have been spending every available minute this week trying to make sure these got done. It took a lot more of everything than I thought it would. More yarn, more time, and more planning! I definitely undersold myself on this project, but you live and learn! The first time is always an experiment for the next time, and every time after...

Do you remember the Friends episode where neat and tidy Monica had a closet that was exactly the opposite? Well this was my Monica closet! I'm not a super tidy person. I try! I really do, but it always has a way of going crazy. For months I have put off organizing this closet. But today I had no choice... I had to find yarn that was conveniently buried at the bottom of the chaos. Yarn has been found, the closet is clean, and there is now more room for craft stuff!!! Yay!!!

So here's my idea.... a canvas party! 😅 More to the point, a "First Come First Choice" canvas party. Everything provided: A textured canvas, paints and supplies, and a picture that suggests what the end could look like. You show up and pick from the canvases available what you will paint, and go to work. I will be there if you need help, for suggestions, and minor guidance. You get to hang with your friends and put your creative genius to work!!! I promise you won't be on your own, you just won't be following me stroke by stroke.

$25 a person, prepaid 1 week before event. 🎨What do you think?! 🖼
